The Altman farm – picking up an orchard

Altman Farm in Moshav Gamzu opens its doors to the general public for an exciting Israeli experience in the taste of the past.

An exciting Israeli experience in the taste of the past, in an active farm – a connection to the love of the land and the work of the land. During the citrus season – self-picking of oranges and clementines in the orchard, including explanations on the growth of fruit trees and its branches. And during the rest of the year, fascinating activity within the framework of the Gamzu Nursery – “talking to the flora”, the knowledge of plants, including herbs and healing and their unique qualities.
Hours of operation: by appointment (closed on Saturday).
Citrus fruit is really great – picking up tangerines and oranges in the orchard.

The experiential activity includes:
Arrive by foot to the grove, about 10 minutes.
A fascinating conversation on the subject – growing fruit trees in the Land of Israel. The virtues of fruit.
Explain how to make the self-picking.
Distribution into self-harvesting groups – distribution of bag for each participant.
Taking pictures as a souvenir. (Suitable for any age).

Activities for the general public are open during the picking season on Fridays between 10:00 and 13:00
Arrival by appointment only!

Duration of activity is about one hour.
The cost per participant is 25 NIS.

Have to come with scissors or shears, walking shoes, hat and drink.
